When making DeskVibe, I wanted it to be related to Desktop Customization (hence the name), but not be a forum or blog, but something unique. I decided to make DeskVibe a one of a kind DeskModding website. It is a digg-like news submission site, only for Desktop Customization materials. Users can submit articles about new releases or upcoming applications related to desktop customization. The community will then vote the articles up or down, people can comment, and best of all, it gives artists free promotion for their work.

Hey guys! For all of you that have heard Galaxy GUI is moving to DeskVibe (which will be hosted on it's own server with it's own .net domain name) we've got some news!

There is now a thread on Galaxy GUI where you can check out the progress being made on DeskVibe and how it's coming along in a series of previews that will be updated everytime something is changed. Right now I've posted 8 previews of what we've done so far.

Attention Galaxy GUI Members!

Me and alxmarcond have just planned out some BIG changes for Galaxy GUI! All the info I can give to you guys right now is that this will be a major changes, not an update or a skin redesign (lol) - but something big and it's already in progress. This isn't going to happen to soon and won't affect the site for at least a few weeks, but hopefully in time for the holidays.

These changes will ensure Galaxy GUI will keep going and be a successful community. Our current free forum host has prevented a few things and puts us at jeopardy of going down if they ever did. There will also be a much simpler design, focusing completely on user friendliness and customization, not on website details such as a bunch of crowded links and text.

The site is going to be hosted on it's own server with it's own domain, we will finally have full control to ensure the forums are running smoothly, we will also be loosing phpbb for better forum software.

IMPORTANT: I'm going to let you know right away that ALL POSTS, THREADS and MEMBERS WILL be lost once we move. While this is a big disadvantage, I'm sure we will regain all of that quickly!
